| I admire both its flavor and authenticity. Praying Mantis Porter's roots seem to reach from downtown Hartford back to Victorian England. It pours opaque and dark brown, ruby at the edges. The initially huge, loose head emits enticing biscuit and toffee scents. It recedes but does not depart. The foretaste is sweet grain and bread, merging quickly with caramel, biscuit and a rich honey feel. There is a soothing welcome, milkshake quality to the Mantis.
